MINUTES: COUNTRY DANCE CLUB 10/19/2009

President Debbie Wood called the meeting to order at 9:05 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2009.

 

Terry Luther moved that the minutes from previous meetings this year be approved as posted. Jeff Wood seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

 

Secretary/Treasurer Jeff Wood passed out the treasurer's report. Two people pointed out minor errors. Debbie Allen moved that the reports be accepted as amended. Karen O'Neal seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

 

Karen O'Neal initiated a discussion as to how to increase attendance at the club. It was decided to teach some more advanced dances on Tuesday night ... waltz, cha-cha, east coast swing and west coast swing, and to teach a different dance each Tuesday starting in November, rather than to teach one dance for a whole month. There was no formal motion, but the group was in unanimous agreement this would be a good thing to try.

 

Karen O'Neal moved that the meeting be adjourned, Si Smith seconded. Motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 9:50 p.m.
