CDC Business Meeting 6-29-08

 

Debbie Wood called the meeting to order and asked the minutes be read from last meeting. Sue Sedberry made a motion the minutes be accepted as posted. Si Smith seconded the motion.  Motion passed.  Profit and Loss statements for April and May were passed out, there is an amendment to be made to April’s sheet.  Debbie said she would bring to class Monday.  Sue made a motion the Profit and Loss be accepted as presented with the amendment to be made.  Si seconded the motion.  Motion passed.  

Old Business

New computer up and going, Randy Bush donated a new computer tower to the club.  Thanks Randy for your continued support.

No more Sunday night dances, not enough people seemed interested to justify continuing the classes.

Sue Sedberry, Debbie Wood, Gwen Walker, Terry Luther, Karen O’Neal and Si Smith for teaching line dances and couple’s dances.

Special thanks to everyone who help out on Monday and Tuesday nights with whatever is needed, helping with the music, taking money at the door and helping keep the dance club cleaned up.

Special thank you to John Trout for keeping the grass mowed.

Club clean up was at 3pm before the meeting.   A  special THANK YOU to Emily Edster, Sue Sedberry, Debbie Wood and Gwen Walker who came at 3pm to clean up inside the building.  Thanks to Terry Luther for staying after the meeting and doing some repair things to the building.

Debbie asked the suggestions in the suggestion box be read.  Most of the suggestions had to do with line dances wanting to be taught.  Slappin’ Leather, Watermelon Crawl and a couple’s dance North Carolina.  It was suggested at the meeting that we do a couple’s partner dance once a month, like a Cha Cha, Sweetheart Stroll and possibility something new.

Debbie asked if there was any more business to be discussed, no one had anything at this time.

Sue made a motion that the meeting be adjourned, Si seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

Next meeting set for August 17^th at 4pm.
