CDC Business Meeting 4/30/06 Debbie Wood called the meeting to order. She asked the minutes be read from the last meeting. The minutes were read. Gerry Applegarth made a motion the minutes be accepted as read and posted the last 60 days. Gerald Dunham seconded the motion. Motion passed. Profit and Loss statements from February, March, and April were discussed. A few minor corrections will be made and new sheets handed out at the next meeting on June 18th. Susan Russell made a motion the P & L statement be accepted with corrections. Lacinda Files seconded the motion. Motion passed. Liability insurance for the dance club lowered to 500.00 per year with the new company. Thank you Jeff Wood.
Old Business The large group (Linda’s) that rent the building the last Saturday of each month, will be renting the building on Friday night the weekend of Memorial holiday for $100.00. Debbie Wood asked Debbie Allen if she had made the changes on the By-Laws. Debbie Allen stated she had made changes and highlighted them, would like for Debbie Wood to check it over before making copies. Debbie Wood said she would look at them after meeting. Monday and Tuesday night classes are going very well. The 6pm intermediate class has more attendance since last business meeting. It was asked if anyone could bring line dances to do at 6pm. Debbie said they would be reviewed first before deciding to learn.
New Business Si & Jane Smith is renting the building on June 9th for square dancing. Bob Lloyd will be calling the dance. Si said all who would like to attend are welcome to do so. Lacinda Files asked about having a dance on a Saturday night once a month. Lots of comments, ideas, and suggestions were made about doing a once a month dance. A suggestion was made to do a Friday night dance once a month. A poll of who would like to do a once a month dance will be done on Monday and Tuesday nights during the month of May. If a once a month dance is chosen to be there will be a 2.00 cover charge with dance lessons from 7 to 8, and open dancing till 11pm. It was suggested being on the 3rd Friday night of the month. Gerald Dunham asked about striping the parking lot as was discussed at one time with TJ Moore. Gerald is going to call TJ about doing it. Debbie Wood asked if there was anymore new business. Debbie W asked Terry Luther to set up a club trip to the new club that has opened in Fort Smith. Jeff Wood made a motion to adjourn. Susan Russell seconded the motion. Motion passed. Next Business meeting set for June 18th at 4pm.
