CDC Business Meeting 4-13-08

Meeting was called to order by President Debbie Wood.

Debbie asked the minutes to be read from last meeting.  Jeff Wood made a motion the minutes be accepted as posted.  David Forbes seconded the motion.  Motion passed.  Treasurer’s report for February and March was given out to those present at the meeting.  It was discussed the high Arkansas western Gas bill for both months.  The system will be turned off on Tuesday night when leaving and not turned back on till the next Monday for classes.  Randy Bush made a motion the Treasurer’s report be accepted as presented.  Sue Sedberry seconded the motion.

Old Business

Floor Machine was placed out at the dumpster when we did club clean up last meeting.  It’s gone.  YEAH!!

The graffiti that was on the side of the building has been covered with KILZ, when the weather warms up we’ll paint the building blue.

Suggestions in the suggestion box; Teach the line dances “Dizzy”, “Wrapped Around”, “Slappin Leather”…one said no more West Coast Swing.

Several made comments about how well liked the new line dance schedule is.  Thanks to all who made suggestions.  Keep them coming.

Our computer is in need of rebuilding, Randy is taking the computer to be rebuilt or replacing the parts that need replaced. He said he should have the computer back on Monday or Tuesday.  Thanks Randy.

Debbie asked Terry Luther how he thought Sunday nights were going.  Terry said attendance was spotty.

A suggestion was made to do the advance class on only one Sunday night a month. The lesson to be extended to 2 hours, do a sign up sheet and prepay for the lesson, with the added attraction to the night an intermediate line dance taught the first hour.  The lesson would be from 6 to 8 pm the third Sunday night of the month, first one on May 18th.  There will be a sign up sheet at the dance club, the first line dance will be “Dizzy” and the couples will the “Lead & Follow”.  There will need to be at least 5 couples on the sign up sheet to have the lesson, if the sign up sheet is less than that your money will be returned or rolled over to the next month. 

Debbie asked if anyone else had anything else to discuss. 

Randy Bush made a motion the meeting be closed.  Karen O’Neal seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

Next business meeting will be on June 15th with club clean-up at 3pm before the meeting, meeting beginning at 4 pm.
