CDC Business Meeting  2-24-08

Meeting called to order.

Debbie W. asked for the minutes to be read from last meeting.  David Forbes made a motion the minutes be accepted as posted.  Jeff W. seconded the motion. Motion passed.  Treasurer report was given out to those present, 4 lifetime members have been purchased.  Colette S. made a motion the treasurer’s report be accepted as presented.  Gwen W. seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Old Business

The Floor cleaning machine was put out at the curb with a free sign on it. 

Lacinda Files was to check into some free advertising.  Sad to say Lacinda has not attended a meeting since.  Debbie asked Colette S. if she would  call the Morning News about putting some in the community corner of the classifieds. 

Terry L. was asked how he felt Sunday night intermediate classes were going.  It was in agreement that 7-8:30 was too longer, Jeff W. a motion was made to change the times from 7-8pm, David seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

Debbie thanked Colette and Emily for helping at the door on Monday and Tuesday nights and too David for keeping the water jugs full.

Special thanks to all that came to Club clean up today.  We had a great turn out and got the club cleaned up in an hour.  Yeah!

Here are the ones that showed up at 2pm for the clean up: Sue Sedberry and her friend from New York, Robin, Si & Jane Smith, Karen O’Neal, Debbie & Jeff Wood, David Forbes & Gwen Walker, Terry Luther, Emily Edster, Nancy Kovach, Lily Dees, Dorothy Millard with her cookies and veggies.  Thank you

Suggestions that had been put into the suggestion box were read.  Great positive feedback was in the box.

The main suggestions were loved the new line dances and scheduling. 

There were 2 suggestions  each asking for west coast swing and the line dance Cupid Shuffle.

Terry Luther will be teaching West Coast Swing basics on Monday nights for the month of March.

Keep the suggestions coming everyone this helps us become a better club.  You never know it could happen

John Trout has declined his nomination to be on the board of Directors.  A nomination was made for Lily Dees to replace John Trouts place.  She accepted the nomination.  Jeff made a motion the nominations for board of directors be elected as slated, Terry L. seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Club trip to Fort Smith was canceled the place TJ was to check out was not so good a place.  Debbie asked would anyone else like to do a club trip, Jeff said he would coordinate a trip to Springfield, MO for March the 15^th. 

Next meeting set for April 13^th at 4pm.

 Jeff made a motion the meeting be adjourned, David seconded the motion.  Motion passed Meeting adjourned.
