CDC Business Meeting 2/25/07 Debbie Allen called the meeting to order. She asked about the minutes from the last meeting. David Forbes made a motion the minutes be accepted as posted. TJ Moore seconded the motion. Motion approved. Profit and Loss Statement for January was discussed. TJ made a motion the P & L statement be accepted as presented. Lacinda Files seconded the motion. Motion approved. Old Business Floor cleaner machine ad---no update New renter has not phoned back to book the club building for the first Saturday night of the month. New phone information, no one called Jeff Wood. Writing on side of building was turned into the police dept. The police dept. has said the writing needs to be covered on the side of building according to a city ordinance. Lacinda Files said she had some Kilz she will put over the writing to cover it, till the building can be repainted in that spot. Thank you, Lacinda. First stall in men’s bathroom, TJ looked at and did a minor repair to seem to have fixed the problem of it running all the time. Thank you TJ. Pot holes in the parking lot will be taken care of in the spring. New Business Debbie Allen asked about upgrading the computer so more music could be put on it. TJ said adding an internal hard drive would the best way to go. Lacinda made a motion to give TJ $100.00 to spend to purchase a second hard drive for the computer. Brenda Been seconded the motion. Motion approved. A suggestion was made to have a club trip once a month. Several members said they would check out several places we could go. A suggestion was made to teach an advance class from 9 – 9:30 on Monday and Tuesday evening for those ready for more advanced turns. To be discussed again at the next meeting. The social dance on the third Friday night of each month will be added to the radio ad. The social dance on March the 16th will be St. Patrick’s Day dance with a green theme. A new by-law was voted on and passed. “Members may also purchase a lifetime membership for $150.00, which never expire. Lifetime members shall be assigned a permanent lifetime number by the club secretary.” Ballets were passed out for the Board of Directors election. There were 9 nominations with 7 places to fill for 2007. The club’s Board of Directors for 2007 is: Si Smith, Cynthia Wagner, Lacinda Files, Terry Luther, Debbie Wood, David Forbes, TJ Moore Next club meeting set for April 15th, at 4pm. TJ made a motion the meeting be adjourned. Debbie Wood seconded the motion. Motion approved.
