CDC Business Meeting 1/21/07 Debbie Wood called the meeting to order. She asked the minutes be read from last meeting, Jeff Wood made a motion the minutes be accepted as posted. David Forbes seconded the motion. Motion approved. Profit & Loss statement for December and Year end of 2006 was presented and copies given to all members present. TJ Moore made a motion the P & L be accepted as presented. Lacinda Files seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Old Business Floor machine still waiting to be put in the newspaper. Brenda Been purchased Christmas decorations and totes to store in. Still waiting to contact new renters for the first Saturday night of the month. Pot holes in the parking lot will be repaired come spring and summer by TJ Moore.
Election of Treasurer and President, ballets were handed out and votes counted. Treasurer was between Jeff Wood and Brenda Been Jeff Wood was voted in as Treasurer for 2007 President was between Debbie Allen and Lacinda Files Debbie Allen was voted in as President for 2007
The new Officers moved into place at this time. CDC officers for 2007 are: President Debbie Allen Vice-President Gerry Lynn Applegarth Secretary Gwen Walker Treasurer Jeff Wood Historian Regena Edster
New Business Terry Luther thanked Debbie Wood and David Forbes for the great job they did as officers for 2006. Thanks to TJ Moore for his donation of the microphone to the dance club. Thanks to John Trout for the great job in keeping the grass mowed and trashed picked up around the building. Suggestion was made to check into different phone service for the dance club that maybe more cost efficient. Brenda Been made a motion to look into different phone service options. Karen O’Neal seconded the motion. Motion approved. Jeff Wood said he would talk to a sales rep from another phone service to see what could be offered at a better rate.
Nominations were taken for Board of Director members for 2007. Nominations are: Si Smith Brenda Been Cynthia Wagner Lacinda Files Linda Smith Terry Luther Debbie Wood David Forbes TJ Moore
Randy Bush made a motion nomination be closed for board members. Gerald Dunham seconded the motion. Motion approved. These nominations will be posted for the next 30 days. At the next meeting set for February 25th there will be an election for Board of Director members. At this time 7 members will be voted in for 2007. Gang writing on side of building, Debbie Allen will call the police dept. to report the vandalism. Then measurers will be taken to cover it up. Two by-law changes were submitted by Jeff Wood and TJ Moore. These changes will be posted for the next 30 days. Then they will be discussed at a by-law meeting and voted on. Main idea of each suggested change; Jeff’s suggestion is a lifetime membership for $150.00. TJ’s suggestion is bi-yearly elections for President and Vice-President. Randy made a motion the suggestive by-law changes be posted as presented in writing. Jeff seconded the motion. Motion approved. Men’s bathroom front stall toilet needs to be watched so it doesn’t keep running. Terry Luther made a suggestion to keep a cabinet for maintenance supplies in the back room and locked up for anything be may need to do on building upkeep. Randy made a motion that Jeff & Debbie Wood still handle the renting of the building each month. David seconded the motion. Motion approved. Jeff made a motion to give Tommy Abel and his wife Sandi free membership for 2007 for fixing heater at no charge to the dance club. TJ seconded the motion. Motion approved. Next meeting set for February 25th at 4pm. Also on this date a By-Law meeting to be at 3pm and a Board of Directors meeting after the business meeting. Randy made a motion to adjourn meeting. Rhonda seconded the motion. Motion approved.
